Hi,

My Problem is when i try to install the Microsoft Speech Application SDK
version 1.0 i get the following Error Message:

Error 1609. An error occurred while applying security settings.
Authenticated Users is not a valid user or group. This could be a
problem with the package, or a problem connecting to a domain controller
on the network. Check your network connection and click Retry, or C...

I have winXP prof german version and the german version of VS.

my question:
is there any workaround to install MSASDK on my system, (e.g. with
msiexec /i) or do i have to get the (US/Multilang) version of WinXP or
VS or both.

thx marc

It will work, when you create a new group called "Users" in
Systemsteuerung -> Verwaltung -> Computerverwaltung

Sorry, I don't know the English words.

Rename your Group "Benutzer" into "Users" to install SpeechSDK.
