I'm trying to evaluate the use of VS combined with speech server to build a
IVR or phrase recognition application for use over a phone line. It seems
that the following combinations are viable:
speech sdk 1.1 and vs 2003 .net
ocs 2007 and vs 2005
I have installed both OCS 2007 and speech sdk 1.1 developer editions.
However, all that is available for evaluation purposes seems to be VS 2008
(trial version), and when I follow the instructions for the "pizza order"
tutorial, the first step, create a new "Voice Response Web Application", does
not appear. I can't easily get a copy of vs 2005 to try out, and would like
to know this works before investing in licensed versions.
Can anyone suggest either how to make the speech apps and tutorials work
with VS 2008 or how to get a trial version of VS 2005?
Thanks,
Fred
